About Biscuit

Biscuit is an all-in-one platform that builds, tests, ships, and runs your website or app. You describe what you want, and Biscuit builds it with payments, emails, database, hosting, security, and operations included.Biscuit is:

  • Secure by default: every table and row starts with clear rules for who can see or change it, shown in plain language so you don’t need to read code.
  • Fast & maintainable: every layer, from the app to the infrastructure, was designed for this platform. That lets Biscuit trace how your app works, improve it, and fix issues without sending you in circles.
You can go from idea to something people can use and pay for without wiring together separate tools or touching code.
People inside a company who need a tool built and don’t want to wait for engineering time. It’s also for the apps you build for yourself or your household, like a fitness tracker or a shared notes tool. You describe what you need, and Biscuit builds it, ships it, and keeps it running. You don’t need to be a developer.

Getting started

No. You describe what you want in plain English, and Biscuit builds, tests, and ships the product for you. To make changes, keep chatting with Biscuit. You don’t need to touch code.
An idea and a Google account to sign in. You don’t need a credit card or any setup. You land on the dashboard and click New Project to begin.
You can usually get a first version live in 30 minutes to a couple of hours, depending on the idea. You can keep prompting Biscuit to change your tools after launching them.

Building your app

The sky’s the limit. Biscuit can build complete websites and apps people can use and pay for. Think community apps, web games, video-call products, SaaS tools, marketplaces, internal dashboards, booking platforms, learning products, or a business idea that does not fit an existing category. If you can describe it, you can start building it on Biscuit.
Biscuit runs on a mix of Cloudflare, Google Cloud, and self-hosted VMs. Payments are built into the platform and use Stripe under the hood. AI features use models from Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI. You don’t need to manage any of this yourself.
Yes. Biscuit is built as an integrated platform from the ground up, which means your website or app is built on infrastructure designed to scale with it. Because Biscuit understands how every part of your project works, we can run the right pieces in the right place and keep them reliable as usage grows.We’ve scaled products to millions of users before: Ives van Hoorne as co-founder of CodeSandbox, and Andreas Blixt as VP of Engineering at Framer. We built Biscuit to bring that kind of infrastructure to teams who don’t have it.
Every night, Biscuit checks your app for errors and looks at signals like analytics, signups, and recent changes. It starts the small, low-risk fixes on its own and queues everything else as tasks you can accept or dismiss. You get a briefing on the project Overview plus an email, and nothing reaches your live app until you publish it.
No, not directly. Biscuit is built as a fully integrated platform from the ground up, so the code is tied to Biscuit’s infrastructure. You make changes by chatting with Biscuit, not by editing the code directly. If you ever want to move off the platform, email us and we’ll help you.

Payments and payouts

Payments are built in. When customers pay, money goes to your Biscuit wallet automatically. No setup is needed on your end.
Open your Wallet and withdraw your earnings to your bank account. Biscuit shows the fee and final payout amount before you confirm.
Biscuit builds and runs the product infrastructure for you: payments, hosting, emails, database, and the AI team that helps build, test, and ship your app. The 15% applies only when money leaves the platform, at withdrawal.
Yes. You can use your Biscuit earnings to keep building, improving, and hosting your app. The 15% fee only applies when you withdraw money, so earnings you reinvest on Biscuit are not charged.
During early access, every account gets $200 in Biscuit credits a day to build, improve, and host apps. You start with credits in your Wallet, and the daily allowance refills every day, so you can keep working without adding a credit card.
So you can get something live in front of the people who’ll use it before cost becomes a factor. The daily allowance is permanent, but the early-access amount may change.
When an app you publish earns revenue, Biscuit adds the same amount in credits you can spend on building and hosting. That balance shows as Bonus in your Wallet.
No. As the merchant of record, Biscuit collects and remits VAT, sales tax, and other indirect taxes on customer purchases where required by law. You’re still responsible for your own income tax on your earnings.

Account and billing

Refunds are handled case by case. If a customer asks for a refund, email support@biscuit.so and we’ll review the request. Refunds are typically considered for products that don’t work as described, mistaken charges, or unauthorized purchases. EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU.

Your app and data

You own what you build on Biscuit: your apps, your data, and your content. Biscuit keeps the license needed to host and run your app on the platform.
We designed Biscuit with security in mind from the start. For all data in your app, Biscuit explicitly defines who can see it, who can change it, and under which conditions. Those rules are visible in the product, so you can understand and adjust access without reading code. We also run extra checks to help prevent accidental data leaks. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and Stripe handles payment data. Biscuit is also working toward a SOC 2 Type 2 report, with the audit scheduled to start in late September 2026. The controls in place and the audit’s progress are on the Biscuit Trust Center.
Apps built on Biscuit are cookieless. We count unique visitors using a daily-rotating IP and user-agent hash that can’t track anyone across days or sites. We honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control browser signals; when either is sent, we skip the visitor count entirely.
Personal data is deleted or anonymized within 30 days, and project data may be kept in backups for a limited period after that. Pending earnings payouts are reviewed and processed within 90 days, subject to identity verification and any pending disputes.
If Biscuit ever shuts down, per our Terms we’ll make commercially reasonable efforts to process final payouts of confirmed earnings balances, subject to applicable law.
